On Wednesday August 19, Social Politics. International Studies in Gender, State and Society has organized a panel discussion on the theme After the Meltdown: Is there still room for social policy innovation?"
The panel discussion will be followed by a reception sponsored by Oxford University Press. Both will take place at the conference site, Pavillon André-Aisenstadt, Université de Montréal, building number 20 on the campus map at: http://www.umontreal.ca/plancampus/index.html
On Thursday August 20, there will be a Reception at Montreal City Hall. The reception is hosted by the City of Montréal.

On Friday August 21, the official conference dinner will take place at the Musée Pointe-à-Callières, the birthplace of Montréal. The evening begins with a cocktail and guided tour of the museum, followed by dinner in the Café-Terrasse.

On Saturday August 22, small groups will go out to a restaurant of their choice. A list of restaurants in a variety of price ranges will be offered to those who sign up for the Saturday evening event.
