In March 2001, the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Citizenship and Governance was awarded to Jane Jenson, professor of Political Science at the Université de Montréal.
The Chair’s research theme is the redesign of social policy, citizenship practices and social cohesion in Canada and European Union.

She is also member of CERIUM's Board of Directors
On May 22, 2014 Jane Jenson was awarded the Prize for Excellence of the Société québécoise de science politique. This prize recognises theoutstanding contribution of a member of the SQSP to the field of Political Science.
